Subject: Be aware of Big Sophisticated Hospitals - pls read it ...
This is not a story but a true incident!

One of my friend, want to do Master check up to her mother.
Though she was quite healthy (No BP, No sugar or No general weakness), my friend wanted to do as she was in 50s.

So he toke her to the hospital in the morning 8.30 AM on Feb 20, 2010.
She was admitted in the hospital for Master Check Up.
After some few hours, he was informed that she has the possibilities to get heart-attack or heart block.
In the afternoon(2.00p.m) he was informed that the blood is getting arrested and have do a operation immediately
and  asked  sign papers.
My Friend was afraid & he accepted for that. He or his father were not allowed to go near her also.
They said she is unconscious and anything can be said after 4 hrs.
In the evening, around 4.30 p.m they said that she is no more.
It was really a shock for my friends & family.

It didn't stop there, the people in the hospital were not ready to give the body till they settle the hospital bill which was around
2.4 lakhs. Then they gave her body to them @ around 7.00 p.m...The highlight was that they her body as a cotton bundle.
As all her parts were removed...As My friend & family were in deep shock and pain they didn't question them.

He took her to that hospital for master check just because he will get back the money as medical insurance/reimbursement and this was one of the hospital which was listed in the insurance company and moreover near to their home.

All this happened in 'Life Line' Hospital, Thoripakkam Chennai.
I have heard that heavily charge, even if you go that hospital for minor sickness like fever, headache, stomach etc...But this is heights of height!!!

I guess this is not the only hospital which is like this. May be many of you might come across these type of incidents...
I thought of sending you this incident to create awareness.

In the interest of Public, please fwd this to your friends

If you have come across of such incidents in any other hospital, please add the Hospital name & place in the below below list:

1. LifeLine Hospital, Thoripakkam Chennai.

Very shocking news ! Today morning i have received 1 mail from editor@lifelinehospitals.com. In that mail it is mentioned that total body health check up will be made for just Rs.750

[smg id=7294 type=full]

I think he may be went there after seeing this mail for Master check up to his mother.

I also afraid that this mail will be sent to lakhs of people around chennai and it is very important to create awareness immediately otherwise many will lose their or their loved one's life.

I like to share another hospital name, which is also like this kind, where our class mate Sofia's father was admitted for heart attack

2. Sugam Hospital, Thiruvatriyur, chennai-19.

I would also like to share some of my bitter experiences :

* This was happened at City Tower Hospital, Anna Nagar.

went to the hospital for an emergency visit [stomach ache].

I was admitted to the ICU  :'(

They didnt even take scan or other tests but I was taken to surgery the next day for Appendicitis.  8) cool is it

Cheater C*%$#  >:(

* Vasan Eye care, chennai.

omg!!! They are killing people in the name of hospitality.

Also whenever we visit them, Doctors would always write ppl to get medicines or drops from THEIR PHARMACY that costs around 400 bucks for 3ml >:( sometimes we may get Expired Medicines that are supposed to be disposed ..ppl be aware of it.  :(

Magg

I would like to share my experience with City Tower Hospital (CTH). This happened in August–September  2006. My beloved father (age 75) fell down (5.45 pm) in bathroom. Within a hour, after consulting my family physician, we admitted him (6.45 pm) in CTH, which is 3.5 km from my house.  Due to non-availability of experts (they have only visiting specialized physicians) and infrastructure (MRI scan was taken in nearest Bharath Scan with the help of Ambulence) the treatment was delayed. Only at 10:00 pm, they said my beloved father was suffering from mild stroke.  After four days in that hospital, he was discharged with the discharge summary stating that he was improved. On the fifth day, my beloved father's condition become worse. We called the hospital, but no one picked up the phone. Then we called a private ambulance and reached CTH. Again treatment started with the same history. He was treated (IP) in that hospital for 1 month and died after that.  My beloved father was healthy (without sugar/BP) with very well controlled diet. The simple (& escaping) reason the hospital authority say is age factor.

Next month after my father's death,  I red an article in a leading English Newpaper (Supplement) about CTH. Funneist  thing is that CTH is well described, as if they have ambulance, scanning facilities, etc. in that article.

Another shocking incident happened in another private hospital. My close friend's wife delivered a very beautiful male baby in 2007. The baby was injured (brain) while using forceps. Till now, the child is undergoing treatment for that. The child could not speak and is having internal tube to drain the liquid. Now the whole family is very much suffering.  By false treatment, doctors are not going to suffer, they get money and experience, but patients and families are the sufferers.

My request to the public is please go to hospitals that are very good and have all the facilities. They should have very good infrastructure and experts, who are working full time in that hospital, of all branches. To my knowledge, though I am well educated in a different field, treatment for stroke, heart attack, etc. should be started immediately. Earlier the treatment, lower the risk.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi magg,

I was wondered about City Tower Hospital located at Anna Nagar.

Sorry about your information. It was too worst.

Doctors after a season, they became money making machines. After 60's they became normal and wanted to help everyone, but their health will not support for them too.  :confused

I had a bad experience at 2004, @ City Tower Hospital in AnnaNagar, Chennai.  :yes

Went on with broken legs, completely bleeding. They wanted me to take a x-ray cost rs.15000 before they start even the first aid. But i was not accepting, immediately they have recommend me to Govt Hospital without even looking in to my broken legs.

Later i went to Govt hospital, as usual the doctor had stitched / packed my legs without proper checking. Within a week, Puzz fleded my legs and found the bones has been deeply fractured inside. Had to be in bed for almost 3 months. Missed my career almost and joined a engg college without any interest.... Now am here....
