Infant Jesus College Of Engineering, a college under the management of Infant Jesus Educational Trust - Chennai, is one of the leading Engineering Colleges in the Southern part of Tamilnadu. Spread over an area of 60 Acres of lush greenery and surrounded by Vallanadu hills, the college provides an environment for conducive learning. The master plan was prepared by an eminent Architect from Chennai based on the requirement of international standard.

Infrastructure
The buildings are aesthetically designed to suit the climatic conditions of the locality. The Laboratories are designed as per the standards of AICTE and Anna University. Each departmental block is provided with HOD - room, Staff Rooms, Office room, Library, Class rooms, Seminar Halls, Students waiting rooms, Tutorial Halls and Toilets.

Further the campus of the college has a separate First year Block and a Cafeteria. The Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering Departments have separate Administrative offices, Class rooms, Seminar halls and specialized laboratories pertaining to each department.

LIBRARY: The college has a Well-furnished library equipped with Books pertaining to the latest Anna University syllabus. The library is fully computerized which enables the students and staff to avail any book in the library without any difficulty at any time. The library also has important dailies, National and international journals.

COMPUTER LAB: Fully Air Conditioned computer lab with computers of latest configuration. The furniture are designed by I.T. Experts as per international standards. Internet facilities are also available in the computer lab.

PHYSICS LAB : Dark room, spacious work tables and latest equipments are also available.

CHEMISTRY LAB: Chemistry lab is designed with adequate safety measures. All the reagents, apparatus are of higher standards to suit the requirements of research activities.

DRAWING HALL: The drawing tables are od Hi- Tech adjustable type. Students can work continuously any physical strain.

WORKSHOP:The workshop has carpentry, welding, sheet metal, fitting and foundry sections are provided with latest machines, tools and spacious work tables.

ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT LAB: The electronic lab has sophisticated circuit Boards, CROs and equipments required for the microwave experiments. Apart from these labs, the college has a well equipped Electrical Engineering Lab and Mechanical Engineering Lab.

Placement
Taking into account the importance of placing the students at Multinational Companies, the management of IJCE has established an exclusive cell to train them in aptitude, attitude, Group Discussion and presentation at personal interviews. Resource Personnel from different fields are invited periodically to update the students in their respective branch. These trainings are imparted right from the first year so that they could face interviews with confidence during the final year of their studies.

Further the students are motivated to attend central campus and off campus recruitments. The college has developed a self learning software for this purpose. At present the college is planning in establishing a network with major companies for in campus recruitment.
