Osmania varsity PG entrance exams from June 7

Hyderabad: The combined entrance examination for admission into Post Graduate courses and PG diploma courses of Osmania University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University and Palamuru University will be held from June 7 at the Osmania University campus.

The notification will be issued on April 8 and the sale of applications will begin on April 12. The last date for submission of forms without late fee is May 7, while candidates can submit till May 15 with a late fee of Rs. 100, till May 22 with a late fee of Rs. 300 and till May 28 with a late fee of Rs. 500.

OU Vice-Chancellor T. Tirupati Rao says that the university has 3,727 seats while Telangana University in Nizamabad has 574 seats. Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda has 230 seats while Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar, has 320 seats. The newly formed universities offer only a few courses as of now. Students can seek admission in any of these four universities on the basis of the rank secured.

Director, Directorate of Examinations, Rajeshwar Reddy, said that last year 1,21,799 candidates had registered of which 99,789 candidates had appeared and 68,704 candidates qualified.
