IT firm launches finishing school

HUBLI: N.S. Infotech, Hubli, which has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Directorate of Industries and Commerce for the implementation of the Suvarna Kayaka Koushalyabhivruddhi Yojane launched its finishing school programmes here on Thursday.

As per the MoU, the company will train 2,000 candidates every year under various finishing school programmes for five years.

Chairman and chief financial officer of NSI Mallikarjun Huralikoppi and chief executive officer Santosh Huralikoppi told presspersons here on Thursday that to begin with, the NSI would be offering two finishing school programmes — a certificate programme in executive excellence (6 to 12 months) and BPO and KPO training services (2 to 6 months).

Graduates, postgraduates, engineering graduates and diploma holders would be eligible for the training.

If the communication skills were good, candidates who have passed II PUC could be considered for training, Mr. Mallikarjun said.

He said the cost of the project for which the MoU was signed was Rs. 4.19 crore out of which the State Government was spending Rs. 2 crore and the rest would be borne by the company.

Mr. Santosh said the candidates would be selected after rigorous screening and would be trained in specific skills. The candidates would be working in a particular industry for about 30 per cent of the training duration, he added.
