Mobile testing laboratory launched

SALEM: The India Cement, the largest manufacturer of cement in South India, has launched a mobile concrete testing laboratory for the benefit of its customers in Salem on Monday.

Launched under the banner of the Sankar Cement Customer Services, the labouratory would extend concrete testing services free of cost to the Sankar Cement / Coromandel cement customers in the city.

Flagging off the vehicle, Assistant Vice-President K.R. Gopalakrishnan told media persons that the initiative would help customers to make quality concrete by creating awareness on the right proportion of cement.

India Cement has plans to launch more mobile units in other parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Mr. Gopalakrishnan said.

N. Suresh, technical consultant, demonstrated the method of testing concrete. The customers shall contact 95510-77699 to get the testing services through the mobile laboratory.

Senior Vice-Presidents – Manufacturing Nandakumar and Thirumeni, Vice-President - Marketing T.S. Krishnaswamy and senior officials were present.
