Britney Spears To Receive Special Award At 2009 Teen Choice Awards

Pop singer, Britney Spears, will be receiving a special award at the 2009 Teen Choice awards that is scheduled to happen on Sunday.

The "Womanizer" singer, who will be performing at the annual event in California's Universal City, is being presented with the ultimate choice award for her "extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry".

The 27-year-old star has received nominations for three categories - choice music single, choice female artist and choice music tour.

She is in race with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson.
