ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Hindustan College of Engineering, established in the year 1985, has been conferred the "University Status" by UGC, Govt.of India u/s 3 of  UGC Act 1956 with the name HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE from the academic year 2008 - 09. The Vision of Hindustan University is  "TO MAKE EVERY MAN A SUCCESS AND NO MAN A FAILURE".

HITS is one of the most sought after engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu reputed for its highly qualified and experienced faculty, excellent infrastructure facilities for curricular and co-curricular activities, sports and recreation facilities and also for the academic excellence which is being maintained right from the inception of the college.

We offer programmes of academic excellence reflecting the high quality of the faculty and the students; the depth and breadth of curriculum and co-curriculum emphasizing personal growth and development, the enhanced facilities, learning resources and the continuing assessment of the learning process are also thought of.

Over the years, our goal has been to increase the graduate enrolment, expand external support for research facilities, scholarships, reward professional accomplishment of faculty, staff and students and also meet the need of the student community by providing leadership, sponsorship and participation in cultural events and civic activities.
