Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris Cultural Association (NCA) will organise a lecture-demonstration (lec-dem) featuring Mirudangam maestro Umayalpuram Mali at the Saint Joseph's Girls Higher Secondary School in Coonoor on August 2.

NCA Convener S.Ananthakrishnan said in a press note issued at Coonoor on Saturday that the lec-dem starting at 2.30 pm will be held in two sessions of 90 minutes each.

The objective was to sensitise the audience to the nuances of various forms of music.
