Laurels for school student

Aishwarya Ganesh, 13, has bagged the first prize in a national-level painting competition, under the category of Class IX and below, conducted by the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences on the occasion of Earth Day 2009.

Aishwarya, a Class IX student of Ursuline Senior Secondary School here, will receive the award from Union Minister of State for Earth Science Prithviraj Chauhan at Vigan Bhavan, New Delhi, on the occasion of the foundation day of the Ministry on July 27.
