Bank loan for education

ERODE: The district administration has asked students seeking education loan to approach the bank branch closest to their residence.

In a release it says students joining colleges and also those pursuing second year could approach the bank branch concerned for a loan. To obtain the students must furnish a photocopy of the ration card, which must be obtained in Erode district, fee details as furnished by the college, bonafide certificate from the institution concerned, photocopy of Plus Two or SSLC certificate and, if possible, bank passbook.

The release asks students seeking loans to approach branch managers at the earliest to avoid last minute rush. If the students are not aware of the branch, they may approach the panchayat union office concerned for help, the release adds.

Further details can be had from the district Lead Bank Manager B.S. Muniraj at 94430-72888 or M. Paulraj, assistant project officer, Magalir Thittam, at 94439-28565.
