Mahindra launches new truck

Coimbatore: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Bolero Maxi Truck with micro hybrid technology.

The vehicle termed as a pick up truck is priced at Rs. 3.45 lakhs (ex showroom Coimbatore).

The vehicle was launched at a function by Vivek Nayer, senior vice-president, Marketing, Automotive Sector, M&M and was accompanied by Mahesh Kulkarni, General Manager (Marketing), Sunil Lohani (General Manager – Sales, South) and K. Ravi, Deputy General Manager, South Zone, Customer Care.

Micro hybrid technology will switch off the engine in five seconds after the gear comes to the neutral and will restart on its own when the driver presses the clutch pedal on the signal turning green.

This helps save fuel. Viscous fan drive technology switches off the fan when the engine temperature falls below a pre-set temperature.
