As far as business commitments go, the Mauritius International Outsourcing Forum (MIOF) must be one of the most appealing: three days in the luxury Hilton resort, water sports and spa treatments to fill any spare time, and some of the most senior level networking of the business calendar. But there is some serious business to be done in Mauritius, and MIOF is the showcase for the outsourcing opportunities available.

The Mauritian IT/BPO global sourcing market is currently estimated at between USD 89bn and 93bn, with further growth predicted through to 2011. Whilst the outsourcing industry is faced with a hostile economic landscape most of the world over, companies are finding a haven in Mauritius where the politics and economics remain stable, plus an even more appealing flat tax rate of 15%.

Head of Forum Production, Harry Sherbrooke, commented on the conference programme which will run across the three day event, saying; 'We've got a great mix of presentations lined up, with presentations from the Mauritian Government outlining their plans for investment, live case studies from companies already outsourcing to Mauritius, and independent speakers evaluating the opportunities available. I think the site visit to the local IT Park will be pretty inspirational as delegates will really get a feel for what can be done.'

Registration is open to senior outsourcing executives, those wishing to register an interest in attending should contact iofmarketing@spgmedia.com.
