GMR Infra consortium gets Chennai road project

               A consortium led by GMR Infrastructure Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder for a Chennai road project, the construction company said on Friday.

The project, to design, build, operate and transfer the Chennai Outer Ring Road, will cost 11 billion rupees and measure 29.65 kilometres, it said.

The concession period is for 20 years and includes construction time of 30 months, GMR said in a statement to BSE.

It did not mention the consortium's other partners, nor GMR's stake in the project.
