Passport adalat on June 20

Coimbatore: The Passport Office in Coimbatore will organise a passport adalat on June 20.A release from Passport Officer B. Balamurugan said that the adalat would be held for the benefit of applicants residing in areas that came under the jurisdiction of the office: namely Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem and the Nilgiris.

Applicants whose applications were pending with the passport office were requested to immediately inform the Passport Officer in writing, addressed to the Passport Officer, Passport Office, First Floor, Corporation Commercial Complex, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore – 641 018, so as to reach on or before June 17.

The envelope should be marked 'Passport Adalat' in bold letters.

Only those who had applied for passports up to March 2009 and were yet to receive them needed to apply.

Files already closed would not be re-opened.

In such cases, the applicants concerned would have to apply afresh with the usual formalities.
