Complaints galore to 'call centre'


NELLORE: As many as 113 complaints have been reported in twelve days to the call centre launched in Zilla Parishad office here to solve drinking water problems in various mandals in the district.

The officials redressed about 65 complaints and the remaining are pending. Estimates are being prepared for laying new pipelines and for taking up repairs to some pipelines and motors in the villages, say the call centre staff.

With the public representatives complaining about water scarcity, poor and irregular supply of drinking water in some villages, Zilla Parishad chairman Kakani Goverdhan Reddy directed the officials to give priority for drinking water supply .
