Signal 8 security services

Signal 8 Security Services Malta Ltd, unique representatives for the International Bodyguard Association (IBA), are again organising the DART Course (Defense And Restraint Tactics), between 14 and 16 May at the Major Lucien Ott Institute Balzan.

During the DART Course, the participants will be educated on matters of self-defense, how to identify potentially dangerous situations, cover topics concerning health and safety, learn the law on Restraint Applications, and also be instructed on how to react during difficult situations at work. This course is aimed for all those working or interested to work as security officers. Applicants must be over 18 years of age and have a sound physique. The participants will be eligible to become members of the IBA.

Signal 8 Security are the first Maltese company to offer courses specialising in security. The directors of Signal 8 Security believe that there is potential in this field in Malta and endeavor to cultivate it. These courses are being offered at low prices in order to attract local applicants: people interested in this line of work do not need to travel and pay expensive fees to attend quality courses.

The Major Lucien Ott Institute has a very important role within the IBA, since it serves as a local office and also as a mediterranean office dealing with people and companies from the north of Africa.

All those interested in attending this course must contact the Signal 8 Security Offices in Balzan on 2141-3777 or 7920-0777. All the information needed may be obtained from the IBA's website: http://www.ibabodyguards.com

All those who successfully complete the courses will obtain a diploma signed by the general director. Those attending the DART Course will receive an ILETA (International Law Enforcement Training Agency) diploma, which is internationally recognised. Many people who have graduated our courses in the past have gone on to work in the security industry in Malta as well as abroad.

The IBA is the first and largest organisation to offer this type of training. It comprises of more than 50 offices worldwide. It is a non-governmental organisation, and was established in Paris in 1957 by Major Lucien Ott. The IBA's main objective is to train government officials, as well as security guards.
