Abstract
When Web mining is applied in the real world of an E-commerce site it is perhaps axiomatic that the first thing to be done is to use a specific language to collect raw data and analyse that data by using those web-mining techniques. It is therefore perhaps important to be able to understand the role and use of server-side languages and its relation with online database servers. Several server-side script languages are looked at and their respective merits, strengths and weaknesses are discussed and commented on. The reason how to choose server-side scripting languages and database servers in web mining is given.
