Kakinada: Caucus-2009, a student festival being organised by Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Management and Science , commenced at Rangaraya medical college auditorium here on Friday. The Head of Department of Commerce and Management Studies of Andhra University, D Prabhakar Rao inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp. On the occasion, Mr. Prabhakar Rao said that marketing, retail, information technology and human resources sectors were providing jobs to a million youths every year.

Students should be in a position to avail of this opportunity, for which they should excel in their subjects of specialisation and also communication skills.

Participating as the guest of honour, Arani Agro Limited Vice-President P.V. Seshagiri Rao said students should utilise their free time for doing some projects which would enhance their knowledge and thereby enable them to become skilled professionals.

The Director of Nalanda Institute of Engineering and Technology (Guntur) V Subbarayudu said students have to be multi-skilled lest they should end up with low ranking jobs.

Later, the students took part in a business quiz, ad-making and Rangoli competitions and a cultural show.

Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology Chairman P.V. Viswam, RGIMS Principal M Venkat Rao and others were present.
