‘Karisal Thirai Vizha 2009’ from tomorrow

TIRUNELVELI: Department of Communication of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University conducts the 3-day 'Karisal Thirai Vizha 2009' on the university premises at Abhishekapatti from February 11 onwards.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Head, Department of Communication P. Govindaraju said several hundreds of mass communication students from various colleges across the State would participate in the festival that would provide them opportunities in plenty to exhibit their talents in photography, documentary, short film, ad-mad, collage, radio jockey, media quiz, film criticism, graphics and animation and young budding journalist etc

Screening of Iranian movies, short films and documentary films, interaction with mass communication experts drawn from various places, folk art performance by leading troupes etc. would add more colour to the fiesta.

Leading comedian of Tamil film industry Vivek will be the chief guest of the inaugural function and a couple of alumni, who are working with leading newspapers, are also attending the function.
