After the interest evinced by Aegis BPO and Genpact in the beleaguered company's business, Raman Roy led, Quatrro BPO Solutions is also believed to have joined the race for Satyam Computer Services' BPO arm. Quatrro has signed a non-disclosure agreement with an investment bank for the buyout. This comes after the speculation over Roy being one of the likely candidates to become Satyam's CEO.

When contacted, Roy said: "We continue to look at acquisition opportunities, as good assets are available at competitive prices. I won't comment on any specific transactions," a report in the Economic Times said.

Quatrro has lined up funding commitments worth $300 million for acquisitions. The BPO firm had evinced interest in acquiring companies providing services in healthcare, finance and insurance verticals.

Satyam's BPO arm, formerly known as Nipuna Services, provides finance and accounting, procurement and customer contact services. It counts telecom firms BellSouth and Verizon, construction equipment firm Caterpillar and healthcare firm GlaxoSmithKline among its clients.
