Computer training for students

ERODE: Training in Linux system administration and maintenance, Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP), and Implementing security infrastructure using Windows service 2003 will be provided to students from Backward Class, Most Backward Class and Denotified Community, says a release from the district administration.

Students belonging to the above communities whose parents' or guardians' income is less than Rs. 1 lakh a year are eligible to apply and they shall do so by submitting an application form along with a self-addressed envelope stamped for Rs. 5. The State Government will bear the training expenses, the release says and adds that the students ought to submit the application on or before January 20 to the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Officer, either through post or in person.
