Singapore teachers on a training tour

CHENNAI: As many as 18 school teachers from Singapore, along with two officials of the Singapore Ministry of Education are in the city on a study trip to learn the nuances of teaching Tamil language.

They are undergoing training in select government and private schools, as part of the programme which began on Monday and will be on till December 12. The Tourism Department, Directorate of School Education and the Chennai Corporation have put together an itinerary for them, that includes training, school visits, experience sharing and sight-seeing.
