The Hollywood director that made the film "300" has agreed to help Electronic Arts create three video games.

Electronic Arts announced Monday that Zack Snyder will be the creative leader of an EA game-making team in Los Angeles at the same studio where movie-making legend Steven Spielberg is working with the US video game giant.

Spielberg is working on EA games including a title called "Boom Blox."

Financial details of the deal with Snyder were not released but it was revealed that EA will own the intellectual properties stemming from the alliance and publish the video games.

The pact between EA and Snyder includes leaving doors open to translating video game creations into films.

"I think video games are cool because they offer an opportunity to tell a story in an entirely unique way," Snyder said in a release. "Being a long time fan of the games EA creates, I look forward to collaborating with them."

Snyder's films include "The Dawn of the Dead" and "300." He is currently working on a film based on a "Watchmen" comic book series.

"Zack Snyder has a fresh and bold creative style that resonates with our core audience," said EA games label president Frank Gibeau.

"Zack is the perfect partner for joining us in creating powerful new interactive fiction."
