You thought touchscreen phone only helped Apple? Here's another company, HTC. Taiwan supplier of electronic gadgets may not still be a big rival for Apple's iPhone or Research In Motion's BlackBerry, but the company has succeeded in grabbing a chunk of chunk of the emerging multi-billion-dollar market for advanced mobile devices.

Now, HTC's Dream phone DREA100 is widely rumored to be the first Google Android-based powered smartphone. HTC's Dream, according to documents available on the FCC site, will support 3G network, have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.O, large touch screen, a QWERTY keypad.

Recently, HTC unveiled Touch Diamond, a high-end phone to take on iPhone. However, it hasn't taken off the way the company would have expected.
