Online exams for Kendriya Vidyalayas soon

New Delhi: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is planning to create a database of questions based on the HOTS (Higher Order Thinking System), the concept which was introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to develop critical thinking and analytical skills of students.

"We are planning to introduce online testing in all schools in the KV system. Students will be able to test their knowledge online, based on questions thrown by a question bank. A report on this test will be generated thereafter", said M.M. Joshi, Assistant Commissioner (Academics) KVS.

Joshi further said, "Online testing will allow a student to immediately figure out how much he or she has learnt, and which areas to improve upon. Though the interactive part will take another few months before it can be accessed, the question bank will, in the interim, provide students with a large database of questions".

Special classes for Class X and XII are being conducted by the KVS.

Teachers have also been asked to ensure that atleast 10 percent of students in each section secure more than 90 percent marks.
