How to add a new HARD DRIVE to your PC

* IDE is finish, its time of SATA. So you can ask your vendor to give SATA HDD of latest version( SATA 2 these days with 3 Gbits per second).

* Make sure you do both connections both SATA and power connection.

* Now log on to your PC make sure you have given high priority to your older HDD in BIOS setting.

* You will see that your new HDD is not detected.

* GO to Control Panel-->Administrative Tools(In classic view)-->Computer Management-->Disc Management.

* Now see in figure where disc 0 or 1 has been written, the status will be unallocated, thats your new Hard Disc.

* Right click on it and choose New Program, go through settings and finish.

* Now you can see extra drives in your window.
