CredR partners with Gemopai Electric for 2-wheeler exchange programme

The used two-wheeler platform CredR on Wednesday announced its collaboration with Gemopai Electric for a two-wheeler exchange programme. Users can exchange any petrol-based two-wheeler with a Gemopai electric scooter under this programme, the companies said in a joint release.

CredR will offer instant quotes for old petrol scooters thus reducing the upfront cost of Gemopai scooters.

Customers can bring to any Gemopai showroom their old petrol two-wheelers for a physical inspection and valuation after which an instant price quote/ estimate will be generated through the proprietary pricing application powered by CredR.

CredR will verify the documents and the health of the petrol version of the two-wheeler. The exchange price will then be adjusted against the final cost of the new Gemopai scooter.

Now the programme is available only in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad and Jaipur. It will soon be expanded across India, according to the release.

Sasidhar Nandigam, chief strategic officer, CredR, said, "India's electric mobility landscape is going to change dramatically post COVID-19 pandemic and sales are expected to rise. As the overall sales of two-wheelers will see a boom, there will be a rise in sales of second-hand e-two wheelers. We are tremendously excited to partner with Gemopai to bring about this shift in the market."

Gemopai Electric co-founder and managing director, Amit Raj Singh, said, "As one of India's homegrown EV brands, this is a great opportunity for us to provide affordable and accessible solutions for electric two-wheeler enthusiasts. With the upcoming festive season, we expect this partnership to further drive the demand for our vehicles and increase the awareness about alternative means of transportation among petrol two-wheeler owners and consider EVs."

CredR has joined hands with Ampere EV and Ather electric scooters for similar two-wheeler exchange programme. CredR has also tied up with Bengaluru-based bike rental company Bounce to provide refurbished two-wheelers for lease and sale through Bounce's platform.
