Zotac has unveiled a new GPU graphics card, dubbed the GeForce 9800 GTX ZONE Edition, which delivers the power of Nvidia GeForce 9 series graphics with PureVideo HD video processing technology in a virtually silent graphics card.

Cooled by a custom water-cooling system, the new graphic card promises to deliver high-performance in DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1 titles while keeping thermal and noise levels to a minimum. And unlike conventional water-cooling units available from third parties, this self-contained water-cooling system requires no end-user maintenance. The cooling system is already attached to the card and only requires the user to mount the 120mm fan and radiator module. The company claims that this cooling system delivers up to 21.5% lower GPU temperatures compared to traditional air-cooled solutions.

In addition to the water-cooler, the card also claims to offer a slight performance boost through higher clock speeds. According to the company, the new graphic card raises core, shader and memory clock speeds to 700 MHz, 1700 MHz and 2250 MHz, respectively. It comes equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 memory.

The new graphic card is compatible with Microsoft DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1 to offer fast frame rates in the latest 3D games and applications. The graphic card also features Nvidia Unified Architecture, HybridPower, 3-way SLI, GigaThread, Quantum Effects, second-generation PureVideo HD and PCI Express 2.0 interface.

The Zotac GeForce 9800 GTX ZONE Edition graphic card is priced at Rs 22,700.
