Bangalore: According to a report released by Pacific Media Association (PMA), Acer has topped the DLP SVGA Brightness projectors category with a market share of 35.8 percent. It has 20.5 percent market share and stands at second place in the overall SVGA category. "As an organization, we are fully focused on the need to create products that will serve entirely new markets as well as products that will accelerate the growth of existing markets by adding greater value to entertainment and communication experience," said S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India.

Acer stands on fourth place with a 10.5 percent share in the overall projector market in India. It has a market share of 17.7 percent in DLP segment, while in DLP SVGA segments it has a market share of 25.3 percent. Acer's projectors cater to numerous segments ranging from education to corporate and BFSI to SMBs.

Acer offers different types of projectors in India. Beginning from the entry level projectors with upto 2400 ANSI Lumens, the range extends to high-end and premium projectors with 4000 ANSI Lumens. The range also consists of mid level and ultra short throw projectors with 2500 & 2700 ANSI Lumens respectively. Weighing a fraction over half a kilogram (0.55 kg) and measuring just 127x122 x 48.5 mm, the K10 Pico-projector is one of the smallest and lightest projectors on the market.

Even though Acer is doing well in the projector segment, it still continues to face tough competition from companies like LG, ViewSonic, InFocus, Optama, Epson, Benq, Sharp and Canon.
