20 year old looking to invest 50K ,buying 1 bed apartment an option , currently earns 25K
can deduct house insurance, any other stuff, but just trying to keep simple,
Is there any new incentives Government have brought out in last budget that I am missing.

Would you think this is good options, Investing 50K in 5 yr fixed might after tax earn 3.5K

I considers very easy to replace the light bulb, instead of replacing entire led light.

So I was going to look at a set of wheels last night for my s10 but the seller could not confirm if they were 5x4.75 or 5x120. Difference of .7 mm
I checked the back of the wheels for information and cam up with nothing that could confirm the bolt pattern.
I ran to the local harbor freight and bought the cheap 9.95 plastic digital caliper they have.
The cross measurement of two holes on a 5x4.75 with a caliper is 5.12 +-.01.
I verified this with my stock wheels and the vision set I bought.
I tried to take the hole diameter and subtract half to get the center point of one hole and the back of the other but could not get 4.75.
What am I missing?

So, I've been having a problem with random people just coming into my Linden Home. (To the point, people I've blocked are TPing in and fooling around with my stuff.)

I want to set up the Linden security system provided with my home and set it to Allow Group. So, the Security system is under my Group, under About Land -> General has my Group listed, but the security system still boots people who are in the Group.

 

There is absolutely zero instruction anywhere about how to get this to work. The notecard that comes with it doesn't have a single word, Google searches - including of this forum specifically - come up with nothing, and the menus in system itself are the opposite of intuitive.

So just completed the VAT registration for my wife's business yesterday along with all required documents.

VAT liability date is 2 Dec 2024, payment basis is selected.

Now my question is any payments she receives from 2 Dec till VAT number is issued then I believe should attract VAT BUT these invoices dont have VAT noted.

Does she just issue a credit not ASAP when that VAT number is issued once officially registered and then all subsequent invoices?

i sold my home in june bought new home in july. why do i owe the full amount of property taxes on both homes? seems unfair to me. id say it would be fair if i pay taxes half on both homes. i already payed taxes on new home the entire amount but now the old city says i owe the full amount there is this a scam?

We are moving shortly to a very much smaller home, ~1300 sq feet with a single car garage from a ~4000 sq ft home with 3 cars worth of garages. While we've been contemplating this for a couple years, we will be finally doing it within about 6-8 weeks. We have sold, given away and donated a bunches of things. It still looks like a full house along with a 10x15 foot storage unit that's filling up quickly. Good grief, we have only lived here 30 years! How could we have accumulated so many treasures - and I'm the guiltist party since my hobbies, other then RVing, take up lots of space. Even the RV stuff is bountiful since we may be downsizing there too and the 5er has been emptied of everything, pending a buyer (who are NOT lining up to hand us money with the current inflationary problem)

New rulings are due out regarding drugs yet again. But what I hear people say often is " if cannabis  is illegal still, why are people walking around in public smoking it?" They don't get apprehended by the police either . I agree to some degree that the police have  more pressing issues  to attend too but it is still illegal to smoke, have in possession,  sell etc  cannabis.

A pleasant good morning to you on this Covid, rainy, and cold afternoon. I have a 2013 528i xDrive with about 100700 miles on it. I loved driving this car before it gave me migraines and troubles. I was having some driving issues lately. Drivetrain malfunction error comes during my drive, was running slow and no power especially on acceleration. Took it to my local mechanic and their OBD meter said that it was faulty camshaft position sensor. So, I bought and replaced the said parts. However, car still had the same issues; no change. Mechanic suggested taking it to BMW. So I called the dealership and made the appointment. 3 miles after I left the mechanics shop, without any warning, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of a local highway. Car won't restart, however battery still worked. I could not even shift the gear to neutral so I can push the car to a safer side of the street. Locking and unlocking the car didn't help restarting the engine. Towed the car to BMW where they said that my car "seized" or just "died". They are suggesting an engine replacement which they said is close to $20K? Yes, it's like the cost of buying a brand new vehicle. I asked them why that expensive. They said that it's a brand new engine. A brand new engine for a 2013 car? Yes, I asked them that. They said it's a remanufactured engine. They also said that even if I trade it in, "it will cost nothing, no value, and maaaaaybe they can give me $300.00 for it." I felt like throwing up! I told them if I give up the car to BMW for nothing, wouldn't they just replace the engine and sell the car for more money? They said that it'll cost them the same amount of money to replace the engine. BS! From the tone of our conversation (me and BMW) I think they're pushing me to get one of their brand new or CPO vehicle. Of course!
So my question, would it be practical to have BMW change the engine for that amount ($20K) or look for a local mechanic to change the engine at a fraction of BMW's cost? OR should I just give up on the car and get a different car somewhere else?
What do you think I should do???

Not sure if this is correct sub forum for this query.

New build. Kicking off the communications with site management on various bits eg kitchens etc. One part, this is what they said as regards skirting board:

"The skirting boards are attached to your walls on both floors, these are sealed undercoated then caulked to the walls and a finish coat of white satinwood applied"

I have been told for putting down flooring it would be better to get them to tack on the skirting boards to make it easier for putting down floors after handover.

They have refused to facilitate this request. Just wondering if anyone has any similar experience as this or if I can do anything?

I am in the process of applying for an L1 Visa. My passport expires in just over a year and I am getting conflicting information about how this affects my visa.

My question is, will I be able to continue to work in the US if I get a new UK passport given my visa will be in my old passport? I have been told my I-94 expiry will be in line with my current passport expiry date (mid 2024) whilst the actual visa will be valid until late 2027 meaning I will need to leave the US next year when my passport expires. Can anyone confirm this or clarify if the I-94 date needs to be extended and if so, is this a simple process?

Instead of hand creating each product which takes many hours every week, is there a way to set them all up in a spreadsheet and import them into our store? They are Simple Products, no special "configuration". Just looking for a faster way to add a large amount of new items to our store every week.

Howdy.  Trying to put stuff in the right place.  Since this is a question/speculative, I guess moonsword wants it here.

The Excessive ammunition rule in techmanual states that an ammunition weapon stops counting ammo for BV when it has exceeded the original BV of the gun.  However, each ton of ammo is exactly 12.5% the guns BV, and energy weapons with infinite ammo pay exactly 25% BV for not having ammo dependency.  Shouldnt the excessive ammunition rule stop counting ammo BV at 25% of the weapons BV, as that is the point the ammo based weapon costs the same as an energy based one?  Since the BV cutoff is coming from an extra rule, the excessive ammunition rule, I figured id ask if this rule should be 25% instead of 100%, as 25% is the price markup for infinite ammo energy weapons.

Programmers will be required to debug the engine, screenwriters to write the plot, artists to draw models and d2r lore rw, modelers to create mashups, animators to create animations, and sound engineers to make good design, actors to voice characters, game testers. And, of course, we need a manager who can correctly prioritize the entire team.
