Diploma courses in fine arts

COIMBATORE: The Government College of Music, Coimbatore, will offer diploma courses in the various forms of fine arts.

According to a release, courses are offered in vocal, violin, veena, Bharatanatyam and music teacher's training. The course in vocal, veena or violin will be for three years. Candidates should be between 13 and 18 years of age and should have completed Std. VIII.

The Bharatanatyam course will be for three years. It is open only to girl candidates who are between 13 and 18 years of age.

They should have completed Std. VIII.

The teacher's training course will be for a year. Candidates applying for the course should have completed Std. X and should be between 16 and 25 years of age, the release added.

The last date for receiving applications for courses is July 31.
