CBaySystems expands India ops

Leading provider of medical transcription services, CBaySystems, has announced the expansion of its India operations with the launch of a new center in Coimbatore.

Located in Rathinam Technopark, Eachanari, the new facility is spread over 18,000 sq ft and will have a capacity of 450 people. In the first phase, the company is planning to increase its headcount in Coimbatore to over 700 employees over a 6-month period with plans to ramp-up its headcount to over 1500 employees in the next 12 months.

Coimbatore is widely known for outsourcing of medical transcription services. Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar, Director and COO, CBaySystems said, "We are excited to be in Coimbatore as it is a key hub for the medical transcription outsourcing industry in India. Coimbatore offers a unique benefit of skilled manpower, scalable infrastructure and a large talent pool of fresh candidates that can be trained to become world class medical transcriptionists."

The company is planning to extend its training program to several educational institutions in the region. "In an effort to induct fresh talent into our company, we will be extending our training program to several premium educational institutes with a ready talent base, and we will continue to boost operations in order to meet the demanding needs of an ever increasing market." added Kumar.

According to industry estimates, the current US healthcare outsourcing market is in the range of $12 billion and is expected to reach around $18 billion by 2010. In consistency with the market, CBaySystems has witnessed rapid growth in this field. The company provides healthcare technology and medical transcription services to over 1700 hospitals and a large number of physician practices in the US. It also provides transcription technology and services into the NHS market in the UK.
