Medicines found dumped

Tambaram: The Madipakkam police are tracing a group of persons, who dumped expired medicines near the Puzhuthivakkam Lake on Saturday.
Police said that they received a call on Saturday from residents of Sheela Nagar about a huge stock of medicines dumped on the lake's fringes. The medicines included tablets and syrups and some of them had expiry date in 2005 and 2006. The police seized the medicines, which could fetch about Rs. 3 lakh had they been sold to unsuspecting customers. A search is on to trace the suspects.
