IIT Kanpur commences its own FM radio station

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has launched its first Community FM radio, which is an initiative for the first time by a premiere institute in the country. 

It has taken almost a year after hard endavour put up by the institute to turn it into reality as it was delayed several times.  The testing has been done on the January 26th and recordings were completed on March 6th.

The IIT Kanpur Registrar, Sanjeev Kaslakar has told that it is first ever attempt made by a premiere institute in the country, which has imitated the concept of America's National Public Radio (NPR).
