Coaching for civil services' aspirants to begin at BU

COIMBATORE: The academy for coaching civil services' aspirants is to be inaugurated at Bharathiar University shortly. The coaching will be offered free of cost to students and others who are interested.
According to Vice-Chancellor C. Swaminathan, the academy, funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu, will conduct regular classes.
The State Government has provided a sum of Rs. 12.22 lakh for the setting up of the academy.
Once the academy takes off, it will conduct classes in history, public administration, political science, geography and sociology till May 20.
Subject experts, service officers and also consultants from other coaching centres are expected to coach the students.
Aspirants can download the application form from the website  www.b-u.ac.in free of cost.
The form has to be submitted with the applicant's name, address, qualification and telephone number to the Co-ordinator, Civil Services' Coaching Academy, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore – 641046. For details, call 0422-2424653.
The applications should reach the university before February 22.
Admissions will be based on selection. BC, MBC, SC and ST candidates will be admitted as per the norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
