Suriya’s ‘Singam’ Sets Puzzle People

Betting on the mass maker and commercial director Hari, Suriya has signed up for 'Singam' an out-and-out commercial entertainer sans the style his movies of recent times possessed.

In the role of a police officer, Suriya comes in a new look entirely different from his previous critically acclaimed 'Kaaka Kaaka'. For the movie, Hari toured various regions in Southern India and had come up with a bunch of small towns to commence the shooting.

In one such area where the majority of shooting is to be done, the crew created a set depicting a real police station and left for the day's end. When they came back in the morning, it was a serious puzzle that ended with comical relief.

Narrating the incident, director Hari with a smile on his face said, "People were flocked around the empty police station and simply staring at it in awe. When we went close, they were discussing about how a station was erected overnight, which is so empty without any police personnel to look after it! Finally, we pacified them that it's only a set but they didn't leave until they got a glimpse of their favorite star Suriya."
