Student participates in international events

SALEM: L. Vignesh Ram, a Standard X student from a city school, participated in two international level soft tennis events held in Hungary and Poland in August.



The boy took part in the 5th Hungarian Soft Tennis Tournament held in Hungary from August 21 to 23 and 3rd International Soft Tennis Championship of Poland from August 25 to 27.

He was one among the three boys who represented Tamil Nadu in the Indian team, which participated in the events. "It was a great learning experience for me. I learnt a lot from the players from other countries. I will improve my game and will try to do better in the future," the boy said.

He thanked his coach V. Raghavan and the Tamil Nadu Soft Tennis Association and the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India for helping him participate in the events.

Vignesh had earlier won prizes in a number of national level events.
