Training programme on NREGS

KRISHNAGIRI: A two day training programme on National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) was inaugurated by the Collector, V.K. Shanmugam, here on Tuesday.

The programme was organised by the District Rural Development Agency for the Block Development Officers, Block Level Engineers, Work Supervisors in Panchayat unions and Road Inspectors.

A.K. Vijaya Geetha, Lecturer (Management), State Institute of Rural Development, Maraimalai Nagar, gave a detailed power point presentation about the NREGS programme in the State.

Other who addressed include P. Palaiah, Assistant Project Officer, DRDA, and Asir Mohanraj, Block Development Officer, Thali Panchayat Union.Malarvizhi, Assistant Executive Engineer, Krishnagiri Sub Division, and Shanmugam AEE, Hosur Sub Division, spoke about the technical aspects.
