The page cannot be displayed. HTTP 500 - Internal server error

This is a generic error. If you receive this error message when trying to run a dynamic web page such as ASP, PHP, etc. and you are getting not getting a detailed error message then you are more likely seeing a generic error message generated by Internet Explorer.

To get a detailed error message to help with debugging your dynamic web page you need to Turn Off Friendly HTTP Error messages in Internet Explorer (IE).

For more information and a step by step guide please see our Turn Off Friendly HTTP Error Messages in IE knowledgebase article.
