B.Ed. teachers' plea

PUDUCHERRY: The Unemployed B.Ed. Graduate Teachers' Welfare Association has urged the government to directly recruit persons who have completed B.Ed. to high and higher secondary schools. The association said that candidates who have completed Diploma in Teacher Education were being directly appointed to primary schools and later promoted to the posts of B.Ed. candidates. This was depriving B.Ed. candidates of direct recruitment opportunities.
