Schools take the lead in dealing with A(H1N1)

MYSORE: Educational institutions in the city, which are in a dilemma over the A(H1N1) flu scare, have taken the lead in getting pro-active to show the way in dealing with the emerging crisis.

Believing in the adage of prevention being better than cure, Ideal Jawa Rotary Primary School in the city took the initiative to take some precautionary measures against the viral infection.

The school procured masks and teachers were instructed to supply them to children who display symptoms of fever with cough, running nose, headache and sore throat. There was a demonstration on the use of masks on Wednesday, but the crux of the programme was to raise awareness about the flu and measures that could be taken to prevent them. The school has procured masks and will distribute them to students if necessary. Students of the school were instructed to inform their teachers in case they came across their classmates with the symptoms of the flu.
