Top 10 riskiest outsourcing locations

From exotic to socially downtrodden areas, business dealmakers from around the globe compete for a slice of the two billion dollar offshore pie. But investor and prospective client interest are no longer motivated by destination advertising alone.

Colombian city Bogota has been ranked as the most riskiest in the world by the US-based Black Book of Outsourcing 2009 editon, while Singapore has been named as the safest offshoring destination.

The rankings of the riskiest places are based on factors like high terrorist or rebel target threats, uncontrolled environment waste and pollution, corruption and organised crime, unstable currency, geopolitical conditions and unsecured networks and technology.

Following are the top ten riskiest outsourcing locations:

1)Bogota, Colombia

Overall, Colombian city Bogota has been ranked as the most riskiest in the world. It is also the most riskiest when it comes to corruption & organized crime and unsecured & unprotected networks, infrastructure, technology & telephone.
