English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams will be mentoring the finalists in this year's 'X Factor'.

Williams, 35, will be performing songs from his album 'Reality Killed The Video Star'. This is scheduled to happen once the ITV show reaches the live stages of the contest in October.

Simon Cowell, 49, said one week will have a theme as Robbie Williams Hits Week where the contestants will be asked to perform on the star's best songs, including 'Angels', 'She's The One' and 'Let Me Entertain You'.

Williams will be meeting the participants during rehearsals, and providing them with tips on their performances as they prepare for the big Saturday night show.

"This is a massive coup to get Robbie. We've had some great acts in the past like Westlife, Beyoncé and Britney come on the show," the Daily Star quoted a senior insider as saying.

"But Robbie will be a big ratings puller for us this year," the insider said.
