Engineering student seeks help for treatment

KANNUR: P.T. Hareesh, an engineering student from Azhikode here, is seeking financial help from philanthropists for undergoing treatment, including liver transplant.

A local committee with Azhikode grama panchayat member T. Chandran as chairman has been formed for mobilising financial assistance for the treatment of 22-year-old Hareesh, who had been diagnosed to have bronchial asthma and cirrhosis of liver. Final-year student at an engineering college in Bangalore, Mr. Hareesh has discontinued studies.

Mr. Chandran said that the approximate estimate for liver transplant was Rs.5 lakh. The P.T. Hareesh Chikilsa Sahaya Fund Committee opened an account (no.10125) at the main branch of the Azhikode Service Co-operative Bank, a release here said.
