Counselling for B.P.Ed. admissions commences

VISAKHAPATNAM: M. Jaya Sree, who secured eighth rank in the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PESET) 2009, took admission in the B.P.Ed. course as counselling for admissions commenced at the Online Counselling Centre of Andhra University here on Tuesday.

U. Prameela Rani, 20th ranked candidate, was also among those who took admission. Ms. Jaya Sree and Mr. Prameela Rani opted for the S.S.R. Government College for Physical Education at Gopannapalem.

Vice-Chancellor B. Satyanarayana handed over admission letters to the two candidates. Both told Mr. Satyanarayana that they wished to represent the country in international meets but could not do so due to lack of facilities but they had a chance to prepare international players as physical education teachers. Director of Physical Education and Secretary of AU Sports Board M. Syam Babu, Coordinator of Online Admission Centre A. Satyanarayana and others were present.
