German language course at Voorhees College

VELLORE: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Goethe Institute, Germany, have tied up to offer a certificate programme in German language at the IGNOU Study Centre in Voorhees College, Vellore.

According to a release from Palraj, coordinator of the IGNOU Study Centre, Voorhees College, the course, based on the Common Reference Framework formulated by the European Council, lays equal emphasis on four skills - listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Registration is open to all those who have completed the Plus-Two. The duration of the course is six months and the course fee, Rs. 2,000. The course would begin on August 30. Interested candidates should submit the application before August 17 at the IGNOU Study Centre in Voorhees College.

The cost of an application form is Rs.100.
