CBSE holds meeting with principals, students, parents

CHENNAI: A meeting to elicit responses from city students, parents, teachers, heads and management representatives on the issue of abolishing Class X Board examination was held here on Wednesday.

Anchored by Vineeth Joshi, chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the meeting was aimed at obtaining feedback from different stakeholders, according to some of those who attended the meeting.

One of the principals said that the CBSE was in the process of collecting responses from different regions. "The discussions are at a very premature stage. Nothing has been decided yet," he said, on condition of anonymity.

The CBSE chairman is said to have anchored four rounds of meetings.
