Expo on medical equipment

CHENNAI: Even as the healthcare industry is growing at 15 per cent annually, the size of the medical equipment market in India is estimated at $1.900 billion.

With many State governments announcing insurance schemes for the poor, there is going to be a stepped-up pressure on hospitals to patient care. Consequently, hospitals are expected to invest significantly in equipment and other infrastructure.

It is against this backdrop that Medicall, a medical equipment exhibition, will be organised by S. Manivannan, Executive Director of Kavery group of hospitals.

The three-day expo will begin here on July 31.
