IGNOU training modules for farmers

NEW DELHI: The Sikkim Government recently sought IGNOU's help in addressing agriculture-related problems of its farmers. These pertained to pest problems in certain high-value crops.

As a follow up, IGNOU constituted a multi-disciplinary team consisting of experts on hill agriculture. The team visited the State and identified issues to be addressed. Based on its recommendation, six vocational training modules have been developed.
