Diploma courses in mechanical, civil, ECE and EEE branches have been introduced from 2009-10 academic year at the GMR Institute of Technology, according to its principal C.L.V.R.S.V. Prasad.

The institute is also received approval to run second shift in polytechnic. All CEEP 2009 rankers can utilise the option of sliding during the web counselling to be held from July 10 to 12 to join GMRIT.

Dr. Prasad also said that AICTE approved the college to run M.Tech. course in CSE and ECE with specialisation in computer science and engineering and digital electronics and communication systems respectively. PGECET 2009 rank holders can join the courses.

Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre is offering an one-year full time vocational course in management, affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.

Admission for the following one-year full time postgraduate diploma courses for the year 2009-10 has begun: Fund Raising Management, Micro Finance Management, Medical Records Management and Total Quality Management in Hospitals. Interested graduates can apply for the courses to the Principal, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, for spot admission.
